Responsibilities

Team Management

  • Effectively manage the Finance team, providing guidance, direction, support and leadership to the staff within the team
  • Develops and communicates Finance team delivery plans that are aligned to the organisation’s strategy
  • Ensure that the Finance department meets all business goals and objectives set by management
  • Effectively deals with performance and morale of the Finance team.

Financial / Accounting Management

  • Manage and oversee daily financial management functions such as AP,AL,P&R, cash flow etc.
  • Manage budgeting processes and forecasts for relevant business activity
  • Monitoring of expenditures, revenues and sales figure
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly management reports up to P&L and balance sheet
  • Manage and co-ordinate all functions required for half-year reviews (by parent company) and end of year audits
  • Ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implements and maintained

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare, collate & submit all month end reports to Head Office
  • Reporting of Monthly financial reports for executive team and board
  • Provision of assistance to Group Corporate Finance team in preparation of statutory financial reporting
  • Preparation of all MAS-related mandatory reports and monitoring of all finance based compliance requirements
  • Conduct business’s financial analysis as required from Management and Board of Directors.

Project Management

  • In-charge of projects as required by Management

Head Office & Shareholder Relationship Management

  • Develop rapport and maintain good working relationships with HODs in the business
  • Maintain contact with similar roles within Head Office & Major shareholders
  • Act as a conduit between company & Head Office to ensure all involved parties stay communicated on a timely basis in respect to new & existing initiatives
  • Review Head Office initiatives for company’s application

Company Risk Minimization

  • Maintain approval and control of financial risk exposure
  • Monitor potential reputation risk and protecting the company’s assets andpublic image
  • Monitor cash flow and potential NAV issues
  • Identify and monitor possible security breaches

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent
  • Over 5 years of relevant Finance experience with at least 2 years in managerial level
  • Ability to effectively manage a team
  • Experience with corporate forecasting, financial reporting / planning & budgeting
